Who is MamaAuntie?

PaSean Wilson-Ashley is the brains behind MamaAunties Vegan Goodies. The company name is derived from the nickname affectionally given to her by her niece and nephews. To them PaSean was more than just an auntie — she was a MamaAuntie!

PaSean’s journey to veganism began more than 30 years ago. After attending Howard University, she moved in with her voice teacher, who was mostly a raw-food vegan. Her teacher informed her that meat, dairy, and wheat were not the best for vocal health. So PaSean, an aspiring actress and singer, decided to adopt her teacher’s vegan lifestyle, and started her own plant-based journey for optimal health.

Fast forward to today: PaSean’s latest passion is baking vegan goodies. It was ignited unexpectedly while she was acting in a theatrical production in Pasadena. Since then, she's been delighting taste buds with her decadent creations, from cakes to cookies and rich, creamy vegan ice cream.

Fibroid Awareness

In addition to making fabulously delicious vegan treats, we are passionate about Fibroid Awareness and have partnered with a number of organizations doing this work, including The White Dress Project.

PaSean’s Personal Story:

After being told by more than one doctor that the only treatment option for her fibroids was a hysterectomy, PaSean began her long journey to self-advocacy and wellness. In so doing, she discovered many other women with similiar fibroid stories. So she created The F Word, a documentary and podcast, to give women a vehicle to share their stories and learn more about this often ignored health issue.
